Della Robbia terracottas

The relief sculptures of the Della Robbias, a family of flourishing artists from the 15th century, were made with a special glazed terracotta. There are numerous examples in Casentino, such as those at Camaldoli, La Verna, and Bibbiena, in the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Sasso and the Church of San Lorenzo.
