Monte Penna

Monte Penna, which rises to 1283 metres, offers an admirable view of the forest surrounding La Verna, where firs and beeches conceal craggy outcroppings and dangerous precipices. In the woods are the Cappella del Faggio and the cell of Blessed John. At the highest point the rock called Masso di Frate Lupo is reached.
