Bacci

The Bacci family descended from the Lombards of Sassello, a castle near the Abbey of Campoleone. One of its most famous members was Baccio di Magio di Baccio, who in 1417 left a bequest so that the apse of the Church of San Francesco in Arezzo could be frescoed. This work was later executed by the great Piero della Francesca.
